Wine Intelligence's latest report, Brazil Landscapes 2017, sheds light on a wine market once hampered by domestic economic and political unrest. Their latest analysis suggests that there are still opportunities to be exploited, and that growth is not far away as you might think.
The study counted with the participation of over 700 frequent wine consumers in the major Brazilian cities and showed that
- The total number of wine consumers jumped from 22 million in 2010 to 30 million nowadays
- Among frequent wine consumers, the preferred type is red wine followed by beer and white wine
- Local sparkling brands such as Salton and Aurora performed very well in the last 2 years
